Senior Accountant – Manufacturing

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing client’s accounting team. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong inventory experience who wants visibility across operations and clear room for growth into leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement support.
• Maintain and analyze inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, reserves, variance analysis, and support for physical counts and cycle counts.
• Partner closely with plant operations, supply chain, and production leadership to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost reporting.
• Assist with cost accounting functions, including standard costing, BOM review, labor and overhead analysis, and manufacturing variance reporting.
• Support internal controls, audit preparation, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify process improvements across inventory, costing, and general ledger workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Serve as a key resource for ERP and reporting improvements related to inventory and manufacturing accounting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on inventory accounting experience is required , including reconciliations, physical inventory support, and inventory variance analysis.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, month-end close, and manufacturing or cost accounting concepts.
• Experience working with ERP systems;
  exposure to SAP, OracleNetSuite, Microsoft D365, or similar platforms is helpful. (Source: Q1 2026_The Demand for Skilled Talent.Pdf)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a plant, distribution, or multi-site manufacturing operation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and operations teams.
