Accountant - RemoteGenesis10 is currently seeking an accountant for a contract position with a major financial services company located in Milwaukee, WI. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote. Compensation: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour, W2, based on qualifications.Position Overview: This role is responsible for performing day-to-day transactional accounting for the company's field offices across the country. The successful candidate will work within a team of accountants, handling accounts payable, commission processing, and period-end close procedures. This position requires a commitment of at least one year, with potential for transition to a permanent role.Key Responsibilities:Perform transactional accounting for field offices using JD EdwardsProcess vouchers and enter journal entries (credits/debits)Process commissions and perform period-closing reconciliations on a monthly basisParticipate in payroll and 1099 processingAssist in the training of new contractorsMaintain relationships with assigned offices and work on office-specific accounting projectsPrimary Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeFormal accounting education and understanding of accounting principlesProven ability to create and process journal entries (credits/debits)Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environmentTechnologically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (maintain and manipulate worksheets) and Outlook (email and calendaring)Professional communication skills and proper grammar for frequent communication with field officesOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
