Bay Area families represent both the most challenging and most valuable audience for this model. Founders, engineers, physicians, and investors will not settle for a polished tour and aspirational messaging. They will demand the evidence, scrutinize the compromises, and benchmark us against Nueva, Castilleja, Harker, Marin Country Day, and Branson in real time. Prepare to embrace that scrutiny. Understand what this role entails. It is a sales position with a selective mandate. You create your own pipeline: relationships with preschools and feeder institutions, community alliances, local programming, and earned referrals from satisfied families. You own a growth target. Simultaneously, you must tell a family "no" when the fit is poor—even in a market where declining a well-connected parent carries risk. Both dimensions define the role. A single misaligned family in a small cohort causes more harm than an unfilled seat. In year one, you serve as the founding local representative for a campus with limited regional recognition, spending most of your week in the field. As enrollment scales, your responsibilities evolve. You transition from pursuing initial meetings to becoming the leader parents request by name, supported by a growing team and a framework other campuses replicate. What You Will Be Doing Building your own qualified family pipeline through preschool and feeder-school alliances, community partnerships, referral networks, and locally hosted events. Managing every phase personally: initial inquiry, needs-assessment dialogue, campus tour, student shadow visit, enrollment decision, and family onboarding. Conducting tours, open houses, and information sessions where you articulate and defend an AI-powered learning model to analytical, discerning parents. Maintaining 7 or more simultaneous family relationships across various stages, with status and next steps tracked in HubSpot and our student information system. Delivering weekly reports on pipeline strength and conversion quality, and revising local admissions procedures, FAQs, and standard operating practices based on market feedback. What You Won’t Be Doing Managing a waitlist. No inherited demand exists here. Escalating decisions to an admissions committee or layered approval structures. Following a script or working from a quota-driven call list. Passing a family between multiple coordinators, an events staff, and a reception desk. Overseeing a large team or allocating your week to internal meetings. Director Of Admissions And Enrollment Key Responsibilities Drive enrollment growth at one Bay Area campus with families well-suited to the Alpha model. Basic Requirements 3+ years in premium client-facing positions where an individual or family served as the buyer at $25K+ per client or $2K+ per month. You must identify the employer and price point; business-to-business or enterprise sales experience alone does not satisfy this requirement. Direct ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment cycle: application, needs assessment, offer, decision, and onboarding. Specify what you personally accomplished, not team outcomes. Accountability for a quantifiable growth or customer-acquisition metric, including methods used to generate leads and establish local partnerships to achieve it. Management of 7 or more simultaneous client or family relationships at varying stages, documented in a specified CRM or database. A specific instance of advising against your own product or service due to poor fit. Direct application of AI tools in client-facing workflows, such as meeting preparation, personalized outreach, conversation summaries, or follow-up communications. Personal experience delivering in-person tours, presentations, meetings, or hosted experiences for high-net-worth clients, senior executives, or similarly exacting audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence: you can identify needs, simplify complex ideas, address objections, and facilitate high-stakes decision-making. Track record managing deliberate, multi-touch client relationships spanning several weeks, including sustained engagement with prospects who do not commit immediately. You reside in or will relocate within 60 days to Palo Alto, CA, or San Rafael, CA (Marin County). This role is entirely on-site, not hybrid.
