Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Portland, Oregon
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel CT Technologist contract
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• End Date: February 22, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950–$2,100
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care hospital
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Friday through Sunday coverage
• Call: One week per contract
• Charting System: Epic
• Equipment: GE CT scanners
• Orientation: 80 hours
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of CT Technologist or CT Tech experience
• Recent direct patient care experience in an acute care hospital
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• Experience in a Level III trauma hospital required; Level I or Level II trauma experience is also valuable
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active Oregon State OBMI license or eligibility completed before the start date
• Epic charting experience required
• GE CT scanner experience required
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, contrast administration, venipuncture, peripheral IV starts, PACS, and trauma imaging protocols
• Ability to provide two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the past three years

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations for emergency, inpatient, intensive care, outpatient, and trauma patients
• Complete CT studies of the head, brain, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, vascular system, sinuses, and musculoskeletal anatomy
• Prepare patients for computed tomography examinations and administer contrast media according to established protocols
• Perform and document venipuncture and peripheral IV starts as needed
• Apply appropriate isolation precautions and personal protective equipment
• Use multiplanar reconstruction, maximum intensity projection, surface-shaded display, volume rendering, and region-of-interest measurements when indicated
• Support advanced studies including CTA, pulmonary embolism protocols, coronary or calcium scoring studies, brain perfusion, biopsies, aspirations, drainage procedures, and myelography when assigned
• Accurately document examinations and patient care activities in Epic and PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team to deliver safe, timely diagnostic imaging services
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental quality expectations
