Inside Sales Account Manager

Greater Cleveland, OH | Industrial Distribution · $70–$80K base + incentive & commission

Position Overview

This role will manage and grow existing customer accounts, support new business development, and serve as a key connection between customers, Outside Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned customer accounts
• Identify upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and respond to RFQs
• Support Outside Sales with territory and strategic account development
• Understand customer applications, inventory needs, and purchasing patterns
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams
• Support VMI, integrated supply, and in-plant programs
• Monitor open orders, inventory availability, and delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity in CRM and ERP systems
• Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally

Qualifications

• Three or more years of inside sales, account management, customer service, or sales support experience
• Industrial distribution, manufacturing, OEM, fastener, or MRO experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
• Experience with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce or Prophet 21
• Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
• Vendor Managed Inventory, integrated supply, or Class C component program experience a plus
• Experience supporting outside sales teams within a territory-based sales model a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $70,000–$80,000 (flexible based on experience) + incentive and commission potential
