Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Lead Dishwasher to oversee the dishwashing area while working alongside the team to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and help ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the dishwashing team during each shift.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of clean kitchen items.
- Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
- Train new dishwashers on proper procedures and safety standards.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning duties, including floors, trash removal, and equipment cleaning.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwasher experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to lead by example.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
