Highlights Anesthesia Care team consists of 8 Physicians and 4 APP’s 7 state-of-the-art ORs with an annual surgical volume of 4,000 cases Case Mix: General, high volume of regional anesthesia; Orthopedic; Cardiac; Trauma; Pediatrics; and high volume of regional procedures Role Overview The Chief of Anesthesiology is a member of the anesthesia staff sharing patient care and call responsibilities in conjunction with leadership and administrative duties. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the position includes non‑clinical duties such as building a qualified care team, supervising staff, fostering a collaborative work environment, and ensuring departmental compliance with Medical Staff and hospital policies. Responsibilities Develop a solid, qualified care team of anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and certified anesthesiologist assistants. Supervise departmental staff and provide ongoing evaluation of anesthesia skills and job performance. Foster a positive collaborative work environment and manage relationships with surgeons, other members of the medical staff, administrative management, hospital staff, and the anesthesia team. Ensure department compliance with Medical Staff and hospital policies, rules and regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
