Job Title: POS Onshore Lead

Location: Remote

We need a senior POS Production Support / SRE Lead who can manage and support retail Point-of-Sale (POS) systems in production.

The person will be responsible for monitoring POS systems, handling critical incidents, troubleshooting store hardware/software issues, and coordinating with offshore teams, developers, stores, and vendors.

JMC (Jump Mind Commerce) experience is preferred , but candidates with strong experience in other enterprise POS platforms such as Oracle Xstore, NCR, Aptos, or GK Software can also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 production support for POS applications, store services, and connected hardware.
Handle P1/P2 critical incidents , troubleshoot issues, coordinate with teams, and drive issues to resolution.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and identify ways to prevent recurring issues.
Monitor Jira/JSM dashboards, alerts, and system health to identify problems proactively.
Troubleshoot POS hardware such as:
- Payment terminals
- Receipt printers
- Customer displays
- Mobile/iPad registers
Create runbooks, SOPs, and automation to improve support and reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution) .
Coordinate between Store Operations, Engineering, Offshore SRE teams, and third-party vendors .
Act as the primary onshore technical point of contact for POS production support.

Epson receipt printers
iOS / iPad customer displays
Python, Bash, or Shell scripting
ITIL or SRE certification

Ideal Candidate

Look for someone who is primarily a Senior POS Production Support Lead / POS SRE / Retail POS Support Lead , rather than a pure software developer.

Best-fit background:

Retail POS + Production Support + Incident Management + L2/L3 Troubleshooting + SRE + Hardware/Payment Integration + Jira/JSM + Onshore/Offshore Leadership

Important: JMC is preferred, not mandatory . Someone with strong Oracle Xstore, NCR, Aptos, or GK Software production support experience should also be considered.
