Description

• Assess patients across diverse age groups, employing standardized evaluations alongside observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focused on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to encourage progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring coherent continuity throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain precise documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing professional development and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
