Job Title Speech Language Pathologist Location Grandview, Missouri Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and clinical goals
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Missouri
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar post-acute care environment
- Prior experience with MDS assessments and Medicare documentation requirements in a SNF setting
- Familiarity with dysphagia management and modified barium swallow studies
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
