Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Job Family: Buildings Req ID: 510170 Position Location: Plano, TX (serves greater Dallas, TX area) Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground piping and fire pumps. Conduct fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water‑based equipment inspections and testing. Document deficiencies and impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow reporting procedures. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed. Generate reports using Siemens digital tools. Complete service‑ticket documentation before leaving customer site, including obtaining customer signature. Provide instructions and training to customer personnel on proper system operations. Work overtime when required. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Report to the local supervisor and follow direction from a mentor and lead technician. Qualifications High school diploma or state‑recognized GED. No prior work experience required. Willingness and ability to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet. Team‑player with strong customer‑service orientation. Willingness to learn and grow within the company. Ability to follow and maintain highly structured schedules. Verbal and written communication skills in English. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship. Valid driver’s license with limited violations and eligibility to participate in the Siemens fleet vehicle program. Benefits Health and wellness benefits available to employees.
