Project Engineer (Transportation Design) – Chicago, IL

Join a growing engineering team and lead the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Chicago area. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to manage projects from concept through completion while collaborating with public agencies and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead transportation design projects and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Develop roadway, highway, drainage, traffic, and maintenance of traffic designs.
• Review engineering plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents for quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support quality control efforts and maintain compliance with applicable design standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Illinois PE license required.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, CDOT, or local municipal transportation projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and project management skills.
