Job Type: Contract (Approximately 3-month contract)
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST
Hours: 40 hours/week
State credential/license: Active California CPT license required

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in for routine healthcare needs or life-defining health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.

This position involves direct patient interaction and requires the ability to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and collecting blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

The PSR I will demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information .

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties according to established practices and procedures.
• Draw and collect blood specimens safely and accurately.
• Provide quality patient service and create a positive patient experience.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy of patient information.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Be flexible based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime .

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience - REQUIRED
• Active California CPT license - REQUIRED
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required .

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
