PhysioSpace LLC is actively looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our esteemed team at a Skilled Nursing Facility located in the vibrant community of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Work Environment

The position is full-time and primarily based onsite at our outpatient office, conveniently located in Virginia Beach. The work schedule follows a Monday to Friday routine, from 9 AM to 5 PM, giving you ample time for personal pursuits on weekends. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at PhysioSpace, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess residents' mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities, tailoring assessments to the unique needs of each patient.
• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans focusing on pain management, mobility enhancement, and fall prevention strategies that align with best practices in rehabilitative care.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and balance training protocols, ensuring each session is adapted to the patient's progress.
• Utilize assistive devices and recommend appropriate mobility aids, enhancing residents' independence and facilitating their return to daily activities from the outset.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, occupational therapists, and caregivers to provide seamless and coordinated care, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress.
• Educate residents and their families on tailored home exercise programs, mobility strategies, and necessary safety precautions to promote ongoing health and safety outside the facility.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with SNF regulations and standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with an elderly patient population, many of whom are dealing with rehabilitating from surgeries, managing debilitating chronic illnesses, or recovering from falls. The role emphasizes a tailored approach, recognizing that every resident has unique challenges that require sensitive and compassionate handling.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• An active and valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, specifically:

• Previous work experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric rehabilitation setting, which demonstrates a solid understanding of the unique needs of elderly patients.
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations and rehabilitative care methods for older adults to promote safe and effective treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
