We are recruiting for the following position:Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organizationThe Clinical Supervisor supervises the substance use disorder outpatient treatment at their site. This person supervises the Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency outpatient providers in all phases of the therapists’ work, provides direct services to clients, and conducts groups, intakes, and assessments. The person in this position also supervises the support staff in the implementation of systems, and coordinates with the Behavioral Health Program Manager regarding administrative and clinical management procedures relating to clients. Other duties may be assigned. • Participate in interviewing and selecting candidates for employment, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work/caseloads for employees. Reviewing client charts to ensure compliance with BHO, DBHR, and TJC (The Joint Commission) requirements. • Provide individual and group supervision to all mental health, Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency outpatient providers, peer specialists, case managers, other program staff and nonclinical staff working on your site. • Review and approve the therapists’ clinical documentation in Cerner, as appropriate. • Collaborate with the manager to ensure staff meets their weekly service hours and monthly productivity requirements. • Ensure staff has full caseloads and that caseloads are adequately distributed among all staff; ensure client retention and treatment success. • Ensure all staff follows the Sea Mar patient-centered model. • Conduct weekly file reviews and implement appropriate corrective actions to ensure files meet Federal, State, County and Sea Mar requirements. Report all findings to the Program Manager and as appropriate to the Regional Behavioral Health Director. • Ensure completion of electronic progress notes. Review and approve electronic progress notes, when necessary, in a timely fashion. • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure QI reports are completed on a timely manner; • Maintain a positive relationship with the BHO and referral agencies • Market the program to community based agencies, faith communities, social services agencies, criminal justice institutions, probation department, department of corrections, community health centers, schools, and any other potential referral agency. • Collaborate with Manager to ensure daily collected data and daily data entry in the regional data system. Ensure data timeliness and accuracy. • Ensure client information is protected and that all employees follow the HIPAA and 42 part II CFR and 45 CFR 154-528 confidentiality and disclosure requirements. • Ensure Chemical Dependency staff conduct assessments, intakes, outpatient, intensive outpatient, after care, relapse prevention, Alcohol and Drugs Information School , ADATSA services, Disability Life line Services and any other services outlined in the county contracts, need by the community or implemented by Sea Mar Administration . • In partnership with Manager, ensure mental health and substance abuse staff is up to date on their treatment reviews. • In partnership with Manager, conduct regular reviews in Cerner and regional data systems to ensure program compliance. • Work in partnership with the Program Manager to ensure high quality of care for all Sea Mar patients. • Support the daily clinical operations of your facility and report all findings to the Program Manager. • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. • Able to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, or geriatric patients. • Provide clinical supervision of mental health staff as required by WAC and Ensure client care is provided according to the WAC, 42 part II CFR and 45 CFR 154-528, TJC, and Sea Mar Policies and Procedures. • Ensure system integration of care (primary care, behavioral health, dental care and overall health) for all patients. • Participate in management meetings and staff meetings in order to coordinate effectively with other members of staff and management team, assists in making appropriate inter-agency referrals. • Assist the Program Manager and/or Regional Director in hiring for vacant positions with the Behavioral Health Program. • Provide outpatient evaluations, assessments, and psychotherapy to individuals and families in a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities. Expected case load to be determined by Regional Director • Maintain regular contact with clients, including home visits, if necessary in order to assess and evaluate the consumer’s psychiatric status, basic needs, strengths and weaknesses. • Consult and collaborate with other professionals/agencies on client evaluations, treatment plans and follow-up. • Prepare concise, complete and timely consumer records, according to agency policy and WAC requirements. • Provide education and information in the community as needed. • Assure that their clinical staff maintains updated documentation as required by WAC, County and State contracts. • Assure that all clinical staff meets TJC standards in the delivery of clinical services.Education and Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and Medical Screening EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, in public health, education, or social sciences, or a minimum of five (5) years working as alcoholism and chemical dependency counselor with high risk youth/adult. Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience, after becoming a licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional. Working knowledge of WAC’s, RCW's and ASAM criteria is essential, and a working knowledge of mental health issues and an understanding of how to develop, implement, and monitor co-occurring services. Must hold a certification from the Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS This position must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment. Must have and maintain active First Aid certification. Must take a TB test annually and at time of hire.
