Systems Engineer - Release Assembly

About the Role Space is a critical domain where Lockheed Martin is advancing innovative solutions to secure the future. The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team supports the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense by delivering cutting‑edge technologies. This position is part of the Systems Engineering and Integration Team on the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile program. Responsibilities Develop Reentry Subassembly requirements and VCRMs. Write requirements, perform model‑based systems engineering activities, and plan verification. Collaborate with SEIT to create end‑to‑end integrated solutions. Facilitate design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way to support a value‑driven systems engineering team. Develop test, modeling, validation, and verification activities. Typical Experience At least 1 year of professional experience and a Bachelor’s degree. Active Secret Clearance with eligibility for Top Secret. Ability to work onsite at the Valley Forge, PA campus. Basic Qualifications Experience working with mechanical, electrical, safety, test, and other engineering disciplines to develop, assess, and verify requirement specifications. Experience with CAMEO and/or DOORS. U.S. citizenship and prior Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Desired Skills Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes. Writing requirements documentation and coordinating document release through approval process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build consensus among peers. Knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Knowledge of interfaces. Experience in defense or aerospace environments. Experience coordinating Systems Milestones reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR). Strong understanding of systems engineering principles. Active Top Secret clearance. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Current eligibility for Top Secret is required.
