Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting individualized learning needs as a part-time Special Education Teacher. This rewarding contract opportunity involves working with a homebound student in Providence, RI, during the 2026-2027 school year. You'll deliver personalized instruction and help a student thrive, even outside the traditional classroom environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a special education setting
• Familiarity with IEPs and adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs
• Compassionate and patient approach to teaching
• Reliable transportation to the student’s home for in-person sessions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction to a homebound student three times per week, with each session lasting one hour
• Adapt educational materials and strategies to fit the student’s unique abilities and learning style
• Implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and support staff to coordinate instruction and ensure a supportive learning environment
• Encourage student participation and build confidence in learning
