It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkBroughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for the Environmental Services Director position.The Environmental Services Director provides leadership and oversight for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department, ensuring a clean, safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Directly supervise, schedule, and evaluate Environmental Services staff and daily operations including linen, and unit personal care items across the facility.• Manage staffing, recruitment, performance management, disciplinary actions, and other personnel activities.• Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, organizational charts, and performance plans.• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.• Coordinate with various departments and hospital leadership on operational needs.• Manage departmental supplies, equipment, purchasing requests, and budget priorities.• Oversee pest control services and support state health inspections, and regulatory surveys.• Monitor and assign service requests through the Event Tracking system.• Participate in hospital committees and professional development activities.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesRecruitment Range: $47,703.00 - $87,479.00Salary Range: $47,703.00 - $87,479.00Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
