Food Packaging Sanitation Supervisor - 2nd ShiftThe Sanitation Supervisor leads with compliance and leadership, ensures all cleaning and sanitizing activities in the facility are completed according to Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS), Customer requirements, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP), FDA FSMA Requirements, SQF and other 3rd party requirements.Shift/Time: 2nd Shift 4:00pm-12:30amEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesFacilitates the cleanliness and sanitizing of both food contact surfaces and non-food contact surfaces.Documents and signs off all cleaning activities and ensures cleaning meets requirementsKnowledge of different sanitation chemicalsMitigate Environmental results as neededLiaison with Chemical SupplierPerforms all activities on Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) following all relevant standard operation procedures.Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicalsImplement 7 step cleaning methodologies, 7 Step Process of cleaning both wet and dry.Ensures all lines and zones are cleaned, sanitized, disinfected passed inspectionEnsures ATP, allergen test and visual inspections pass after cleaning, at an acceptable level.Ensure all lines and zones are cleaned, pass inspection, and sanitize meeting company and regulatory requirementsPerforms visual inspection, ATP swabs, micro swabs, and allergen testingKeeps track of daily cleaning requirements according to production schedule and assigns daily activities to sanitation techniciansSupports SQF certification activities relating to sanitation and documentationMonitors sanitation personnel activities and tracks work times and duties completedKeeps all areas in the facility including outside grounds cleaned using the Master Cleaning schedule and as cleaning needs ariseFollows all Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOP)Ensures all safety rules are followed during the sanitation process including making sure to follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO)Helps with safety, food safety, Food Defense, Food Fraud, OSHA safety and other sanitation monitoring and reporting activitiesPerforms light mechanical activities such as disassembling and assembling food contact parts of the equipmentUses power wash and compressed air to clean where appropriateFollows all cross contamination and allergen, Organic and Gluten-Free protocolsEnsures all lines and zones are cleaned, sanitized, disinfected passed inspectionEnsures ATP, allergen test and visual inspections pass after cleaning, at an acceptable level.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesYesQualificationsGeneralSupervisor or lead experience in a food packaging or food manufacturing environment is preferred.Excellent attention to detailsWorks well with little or no supervisionExperience with liquid fill process and machineryExperienced with cleaning-out-of-place (COP) and cleaning-in-place (CIP)Works well in a team environmentMaintains a high level of business courtesy and etiquette when interacting with supervisors, managers, and other employeesDemonstrated time management and multitasking skillsWillingness to work more hours as necessaryExperienced with product testing such as: PH, titratable acidity, solids, salt and viscosityBilingual in Spanish not needed but desiredAuthorized to work in the U.S.Must be at least 18 years of ageEducation/Experience2 years manufacturing wet/dry cleaning experienceKnowledge of basic cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizingGeneral knowledge of production and packaging equipment, tools, and machinesAssociate degree or High school diploma/GEDAbility to write, read and interpret manuals and technical documents such as SDS and equipment manualsSoft SkillsAbility to work in wet, cold, or hot environmentAbility to lift 75 lbs. or moreKnowledge and ability to use scissor lift, pallet jack and floor scrubberBasic Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety/cGMPMath/Language/Reasoning AbilitiesAbility to solve basic math, adding and subtractingAbility to solve problems independentlyKnowledge of food contact cleaning and basic understanding of allergen cross contamination prevention and corrective actions.Certificates and LicensesNone neededWorking ConditionsIndoors and outdoors, use of chemicals such as sanitizers and degreasers.
