Food Expeditor

Title of Position: Expo

Department: Front of House

Reports to: Manager on Duty

Overall Responsibility:

Purple Cow Food Expeditors (Expo) are responsible for professionally communicating information between the front of house and back of house, making sure that food is sent to tables in the right order, quickly, and presented to the guest according to the Purple Cow specifications. Expeditors are responsible for the the final presentation of the plate, making sure it is dressed and garnished correctly and free from smudges or spills. Our goal is for all team members to cooperatively work with each other to consistently provide guests with “Outrageous” service. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Maintaining a clean station
• Organizing prepared menu items
• Ensure proper delivery of menu items to the appropriate table either by other team members or yourself
• Packaging togo orders according to Purple Cow standards 
• Ensure proper delivery of togo orders to the togo specialist either by other team members or yourself
• Stocking of job related items

Communicates with:

• All Team Members, Management and Guests

Qualifications:

• Strong sense of guest service and urgency.
• Good Organizational and Multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to stay focused on tasks

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Compensation: $11/hour and up, based on experience

Purple Cow has been serving "The Young of All Ages" in Central Arkansas since 1989.

The Purple Cow is a 50s-style, full-service diner delighting customers with gourmet burgers, specialty sandwiches, delicious entrée salads and old-fashioned soda fountain treats. We serve ice cream from Arkansas' own Yarnell's Premium Ice Cream. Quality is key to us. All of our soups and sauces, most of our dressings and our award-winning cheese dip and chili are homemade. 

We pride ourselves in consistently serving food of the highest quality. We are famous for our hamburgers and milkshakes, but offer much more, such as, specialty salads, grilled sandwiches, homemade soup, chili, and cheese dip, just to name a few.  All of our guests receive Outrageous Service, meaning we go above and beyond to meet all of their needs.
