Cardiac RNFA Position
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac RNFA to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with chest exposure and closing, as well as independently perform vein harvesting for CABGs. Experience with DaVinci robotic cases, while preferred, is not mandatory. The RNFA will also have the opportunity to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases. Experience in heart transplants is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac surgeries, including chest exposure and closing.
- Independently perform vein harvesting for CABG procedures.
- Scrub and circulate during complex cardiac surgeries.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed by the unit.
Schedule
This position offers a 36 or 48-hour work week, primarily on weekdays from 7 AM to 7 PM and 11 AM to 11 PM, with on-call responsibilities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current New York State RN license.
- CNOR certification.
- Experience with telemetry is required.
