ED RN

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides comprehensive nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital setting, primarily covering night shifts in Kremmling, CO, with possible coverage in Granby and Fraser, CO. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge in the Emergency Department. The nurse utilizes advanced clinical protocols including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ATLS, and CEN to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a trauma level IV environment. Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and collaboration are essential. Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care in the Emergency Department from admission through discharge.
• Utilize accepted standards and protocols such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN).
• Implement clinical pathways to achieve patient outcomes.
• Provide trauma and emergency care consistent with Trauma Level IV standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical interventions.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Support coverage in nearby facilities as needed.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with Critical Access Hospital or Emergency Department experience.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent.
• Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential preferred or required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient management skills.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
• Previous trauma or emergency nursing experience.
• Familiarity with rural healthcare environments.
• Additional certifications related to emergency nursing or trauma care.

• Night shift work with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus 2 call shifts.
• On-call and holiday coverage is required.
• Shared housing may be available within 30 miles, subject to capacity and restrictions (no smoking, no pets, no families/partners).
• All requests for time off must be disclosed during the interview process.
• Potential coverage responsibilities include Kremmling, Granby, and Fraser, Colorado.

• Night shift schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
• Additional 2 call shifts per week.
• Shift assignments may include coverage in multiple nearby locations.
