From building custom technology to rethinking the food supply chain, we're actively reshaping how food reaches communities.If you're looking for a career with purpose—where your daily efforts make the world a better place—look no further than team SE.Position Overview:Our warehouse associates work approximately 7 am - 2 pm every weekday (market and full or part time status dependent), so being comfortable with early mornings is a must!Main responsibilities for this position include sorting and packing produce and assisting with warehouse operations in the Wholesale Produce Market. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a close-knit team and in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. You will assist with a variety of essential tasks to ensure our operations run smoothly and be an essential part of our nonprofit as we reduce food waste and food insecurity across the region.Responsibilities:Inspecting produce and sorting edible vs. non-edible food (looking for bruising, mold, puncture wounds, etc. and sorting out inedible produce)Setting up, breaking down, and general upkeep of food sorting areaWeighing food donations with a pallet scaleHelping maintain accurate records of food donations and distributionsSupervising and training on-site volunteer produce sorters, when applicablePacking produce in boxes ready for distributionMoving pallets of produce with an electrical power jackHelping coordinate and move food from the sorting area to the loading dock or external vehiclesMaintaining a safe and clean warehouse environmentBuilding mixed pallets of produce for partner pickups/deliveriesQualifications:Available 7 am - 3 pm M-F (Varies by market)Forklift certification preferredMust have a personal vehicle or reliable transportation (Our warehouse is in an industrial area & may not easily be accessible via public transportation)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 7 hours)Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one timeCapability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motionsComfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (cooler temperatures)Ability to maneuver through a busy warehouse and handle food safelyCompensation:Starting Pay: $17/hourNote: This job description is not designed to cover all activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this role.
