Position Overview Technician I PT Days UCHC BSP (multiple vacancies) Position: Part Time Technician I – UCHC Bayside State Prison, Leesburg, NJ Pay rate: $20.41 – $21.54 per hour (minimum to maximum) Hours: 20 hours per week, full onsite, day shift. Responsibilities Takes vital signs, height and weight, and documents in electronic medical records. Assists physician/associate practitioner with procedures, including preparing the inmate for examinations. Obtains specimen collection and handling, including drawing blood. Assists with cleaning, sterilization, and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit. Maintains or assists in maintaining supply stock, ordering timely and appropriately; aggregates medication orders and forwards to pharmacy. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification. At least two (2) years of progressively responsible related healthcare experience involving multiple areas of knowledge, skill and abilities and demonstrating competencies to perform the essential duties of the position. Certifications/Licenses: CPR Certification Valid Driver’s License with own vehicle or alternative transportation. Physical Demands Must have physical capacity to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes and be able to lift and rotate patients weighing up to 50 pounds. Special Conditions Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements. Benefits Medical, prescription drug, and dental coverage.
