Quality Manager Job Description:

• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within the facility.
• Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for internal and external audits, including FDA, BRC, Kosher, GFCO, and other regulatory audits.
• Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Drive plant performance related to quality and hygiene KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FSMA, FDA, and food safety regulations.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Promote a strong culture of food safety and quality throughout the organization.
• Ensure the facility maintains exceptional hygiene standards and audit readiness.
• Oversee product testing, laboratory analysis, and quality verification processes.
• Investigate customer complaints, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other departments to support quality objectives.
• Create and deliver training materials related to food safety, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Manage the facility's pest control program.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required.

Quality Manager Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree holders should possess a minimum of 8 years of applicable quality experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred; FMCG or CPG experience will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of FSMA, FDA, GMP, and GFSI certification requirements.
• Experience with IFS standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing and quality systems management.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Conversational Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Must be comfortable working onsite and participating in an on-call rotation.
