Facilities Specialist 1

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Facilities Specialist 1 to fill a three-month assignment in the McDonough, GA area. Date: 09/21/2026 Job Title: Facilities Specialist 1 Work Location: McDonough, GA This position involves coordinating a range of tasks related to office facilities, maintenance, safety, and vendor relationships to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in facility management, business administration, or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in facilities coordination or management. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in office productivity software and facility management systems. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Interpersonal and negotiation skills for vendor management. Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices. Familiarity with budgeting and financial management is a plus. Key Responsibilities Office Maintenance: Assist with day-to-day maintenance of the office, including repairs, cleaning, and safety measures. Assist coordinating with external service providers for maintenance and repairs. Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, including contractors, janitorial services, and security personnel. Assist with obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring services are delivered as agreed. Space Planning and Utilization: Assist in planning and optimizing office space to meet the organization’s needs. Assist with coordinating office moves, reconfigurations, and workspace allocation. Safety and Security: Assist with Implementing and enforcing safety and security protocols, including emergency response plans, alarm systems, and access controls. Assist with conducting safety inspections and assessments. Inventory and Supplies: Assist with maintaining inventory of office supplies and equipment. Ensure that supplies are well-stocked and readily available for employees. Environmental Sustainability: Promote and implement sustainable practices within the workplace, such as waste reduction and energy conservation. Manage recycling and waste disposal programs. Event and Meeting Coordination: Assist in planning and organizing office events, meetings, and conferences. Coordinate logistics, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, and catering. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and documentation related to facilities, repairs, and maintenance activities. Is this position supporting a government-related project?
