We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a manufacturing organization in San Dimas, California through a Contract assignment lasting approximately two months. This role will focus on core accounting operations, including close activities, balance sheet integrity, and fixed asset accounting, while helping maintain accurate financial records and reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, works independently, and can step in quickly to manage high-priority month-end responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
• Lead key month-end close tasks by preparing and reviewing accounting entries to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger by analyzing account activity, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the overall accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare account and bank reconciliations, investigating variances and following through on outstanding items.
• Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including asset tracking, depreciation calculations, and related reporting support.
• Develop and update depreciation and amortization schedules to reflect current balances and accounting treatment.
• Record accruals and prepaid expense activity in accordance with established accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
• Perform balance sheet and inventory reconciliations to validate account accuracy and support financial statement reliability.
• Use SAP and Power BI to review financial information, monitor trends, and assist with accounting analysis and reporting needs.• 10+ years of accounting experience, including substantial responsibility in senior-level general ledger and close functions.
• Hands-on expertise with month-end close, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation activities.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, including depreciation methods, schedules, and related calculations.
• Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid expense entries.
• Working knowledge of amortization schedules and inventory reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Power BI for accounting support, analysis, and reporting.
• Background in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to contribute effectively in a short-term Contract role with minimal ramp-up time.
