Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical assistance in the Operating Room setting, ensuring efficient and safe perioperative care for diverse procedures. Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support patient outcomes and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up sterilized instruments and equipment.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures with precision and care.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical technology such as the DaVinci robot and MAKO robot.
• Document surgical procedures accurately using established electronic systems.
• Float between designated OR units, supporting various specialties including orthopedics, spine, urology, general, and GYN as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant OR experience.
• Possess advanced skills in robotic-assisted surgery, including DaVinci and MAKO systems.
• Have current BLS certification.
• Be capable of working rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
