About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP Mortgage/Consumer Lending to lead and direct all aspects of mortgage and consumer lending. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and change agent, responsible for loan fulfillment, quality, and achieving production goals. This role involves overseeing business development, loan sales, and maintaining expert knowledge of lending concepts. The VP will also be involved in underwriting and approving loans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. A key aspect of the position is to continuously improve the lending program and manage a team, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Candidates for the VP Mortgage/Consumer Lending position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 8 years of progressive management experience in real estate and consumer lending, and a proven track record of team building and goal achievement. Extensive knowledge of lending products, underwriting, and compliance is essential, with experience in originating home loans for the capital markets being preferred. The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence and drive change. Technical proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with lending loan origination systems is necessary, with a working knowledge of banking core systems being a plus. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, adaptable, and dependable professional with a strong work ethic, who is committed to continuous development and can effectively represent the company in various capacities.
