Description: The MRI Tech will work 3x12 day shifts. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks. Weekend coverage is not required. Call can be taken by agency techs if desired, but it is not mandatory. This position requires floating between outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department needs. A guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period is offered, with potential call-offs for one shift per 2-week period. The MRI department conducts a variety of exams, including specialized studies such as cardiac MRI and breast MRI during the day shift. Night shift typically handles more common exams, including brains, spines, abdomens, and extremities. Patient acuity varies, with more ambulatory patients during the day shift and partial to total assist required for inpatients at night. Candidates should be prepared to float between various like units as necessary. Experience in utilizing EPIC charting is required. Familiarity with pediatric acute care is preferred. The daily caseload is expected to be 30-40 patients. Travelers are encouraged to take call if they desire. This position supports a range of patient diagnoses, and candidates should be comfortable with a variety of procedures.
