Role Overview:

Under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor, you'll spearhead the meticulous setup and crafting of essential components in our machining department. Being part of TOMZ means being on the frontline of manufacturing medical devices through advanced machining, finishing, assembly, and anodizing processes, all while adhering to ISO 13485 standards.

• Master the setup, operation, and maintenance of our elite Citizen and Tsugami Lathes.
• Lead minimally supported production by executing offsets and tool changes with precision.
• Initiate setups for both legacy components and fresh production orders, ensuring seamless operations on our Swiss Lathes.
• Foster continuous machine performance through routine and preventative maintenance.
• Deploy a suite of precision instruments—from microscopes to CMMs—to conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections.
• Be a proactive problem-solver, addressing complex machine or process challenges.
• Ensure meticulous documentation related to quality inspection standards, leveraging ERP and QMS systems.
• Promote material integrity via diligent control, identification, and traceability.
• Champion safety, following all occupational health requirements and PPE protocols.

Candidate Profile:

• Seasoned with experience in Class I, II, or III medical device manufacturing.
• Adept at machine and shop math for precise operations.
• Familiar with the nuanced landscapes of aerospace, defense, or automotive industries.
• Well-versed in GMP and ISO standards, you’re the self-starter we need.
• Possessing the finesse to read blueprints and master GD&T standards.
• Capable of thriving independently or within teams spread across R&D, Manufacturing, and QA.
• A professional with an eagle eye for accuracy and timely task completion.
• Competent in addressing nonconformances with keen organizational skills.

Required Experience:

• Educational foundation through a high school diploma or similar, with a preference for technical certifications.
• An immersive 2-5 years in regulated manufacturing environments.
