Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

Role Description The Assistant Project Manager / Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based at our headquarter in Maspeth, NY. This role supports project planning, scheduling, and coordination, working closely with senior project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to keep projects on track. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with quantity takeoffs, preparing cost estimates and bid proposals, tracking materials and deliveries, and supporting expediting activities with suppliers and permitting agencies. The person in this role will help organize inspections, maintain project documentation, and monitor progress against timelines and budgets. Additional tasks include coordinating logistics, updating stakeholders on project status, and contributing to problem-solving when issues arise on site. Qualifications Experience with expediting and expeditor responsibilities, including coordinating permits, approvals, and documentation. Proficiency in project management activities such as scheduling, budgeting support, and tracking deliverables. Knowledge of inspection processes and standards, with the ability to help prepare for and follow up on site inspections. Skills in logistics management, including organizing material deliveries and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors. Strong analytical and numerical skills for estimating, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparation. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, clients, and external partners. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with common construction and office software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools; estimating software is a plus).
