Director of Operations

Overview The Director of Operations (DOO) is an operationally oriented individual in the company's Long Term Home Health/PDN Division (TS2). The DOO is responsible for ensuring processes are followed per company policy with both field and office staff. The DOO works closely with the Area Director of Operations (ADO) and/or Regional VP and GM of Long Term Care Division (RVPGM), the clinical management team, and all support departments to provide supervision and direction to internal staff in order to achieve the office’s financial and operational goals, objectives, and performance standards. In this role, you will report to the Area Director of Operations. Responsibilities Provide supervision and direction to internal staff to achieve the office’s financial/operational goals, objectives, and performance standards. Responsible for payroll, front-end billing, eligibility and authorizations. Maintain a current awareness of the abilities and limitations of each field/external staff in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and operational staff. Work closely with the ADO and/or the RVPGM to attain the agency goals regarding finances, staffing and operations. Maintain excellent relationships with all internal and external customers and agencies. Maintain compliance with all state, federal, local, accrediting bodies and company standards pertaining to staffing/intake, recruitment, screening, hiring process and retention. Display effective management and relationship building skills and strive for attaining leadership status. Develop and refine business acumen, leadership, and all aspects of customer service for operational staff. Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures, holding staff accountable for carrying out duties and processes as outlined in company directives/manuals. Maintain active involvement with cost containment issues, effectively utilizing staff within staffing guidelines. Identify and solve problems with initiative and good judgment to reach quality decisions. Maintain rapport with clients and employees, effectively promoting harmonious interpersonal relationships. Meet all deadlines on special projects as assigned. Maintain confidentiality of all employees, patient/client, and company issues. Orient and train operational office staff. Assist in hiring clinical staff and maintain human resources requirements along with the People Services Specialist (PSS). Collect HR requirements when applicable. Adhere to and promote the compliance plan; contribute to quality initiatives through the PI process. Perform all other job duties as assigned. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership capabilities in sales and operations. Achieves targeted goals and revenues. Excellent public relations ability, interpersonal skills, and professional telephone manner. Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices with all governing agencies. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and consistent follow‑up. Excellent business decorum and appearance. Excellent computer skills. Travel Required Travel required. Education / Experience / Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Provider Relations (preferred). One to three years of healthcare experience required.
