Patient Access Specialist

Working fully remote, the full-time Patient Access Specialist will review and validate insurance eligibility, manage prior authorizations, and communicate with third-party payers to ensure medical services are authorized and documented accurately. Key responsibilities Verify patient registration and confirm benefit coverage, including deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses Obtain and clarify necessary documentation from provider offices to demonstrate medical necessity for services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage data and assist with appeals for denied services Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education is helpful Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting required Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes is required Proficiency with office equipment and computers is necessary
