A client in the Blawnox area is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a temporary role, that could lead to hire.

The position Accounts Payable position is hybrid-3 days onsite/2 at home

The Accounts Payable specialist would be responsible for the following duties:

• Process high-volume supplier invoices accurately and timely across multiple entities.
• Verify invoice approvals and ensure proper purchase order matching.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process EFT and check payment runs.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including:
• Accruals and prepayments
• AP subledger to general ledger reconciliations
• Tariff billing and customer reimbursement reconciliations
• Lease account maintenance
• Monitor and follow up on GRNI (Goods Received, Not Invoiced) items and unapproved purchase orders.
• Maintain organized and accurate AP records for audit and reporting purposes.
• Serve as a primary contact for vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment and invoice inquiries.

• At least 1 years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or a closely related accounting function.

• Working knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable procedures and foundational accounting concepts.

• Experience performing supplier or vendor statement reconciliations and assisting with period-end close tasks.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas and organize large volumes of data.

• Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms used for invoice processing and payment administration.
