Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Position Type: Contract

Pay Rate: Up to $24.00/hour, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for an immediate contract opportunity with a growing organization in the Pittsburgh area. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with experience in accounts receivable, collections, and cash applications who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities and collections for assigned customer accounts.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding balances through phone and email communications.
• Process and apply customer payments, including ACH, check, and credit card transactions.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and account inquiries.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and detailed collection notes.
• Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to improve cash flow.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer account concerns and payment issues.

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Cash Applications.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Experience handling high-volume accounts receivable portfolios.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
