Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities

• The AR Specialist will manage tuition billing and maintain family accounts in QuickBooks Online.
• Process payments, including checks, cash, and multiple tuition payment plans.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with families regarding past-due accounts.
• The AR Specialist will respond to billing questions from families, faculty, and staff.
• Assist with transportation and food-service billing as needed.
• The AR Specialist will run reports, download payment information, and maintain accurate account records.

Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Specialist Role

• Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a related accounting role.
• Strong communication skills and confidence handling sensitive financial conversations professionally.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Basic Excel skills.
• Associate degree preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in place of education.

Schedule: Approximately 20-25 hours per week, generally across four days, with some flexibility. Summer hours remain similar but are adjusted around the school's Friday closure.


Work Environment: Fully onsite in a professional, collaborative business office. Business casual attire is expected.
