Ocotillo Animal Clinic and Pet Resort is looking to add a quality team member. Our clinic is located in Chandler, Arizona since 1999. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We offer services such as wellness vaccines, sick exams, surgical services, x-rays, ultrasound, and wellness plans.

As a receptionist you will:

• Schedule: 4 days a week, 9.5 hour shifts

We are open Mon-Fri 7:30AM-5:30PM & Sat 7:30AM-1PM, schedules are usually 7:30AM-6PM and 7:30PM-1:30PM on Saturday

• Check in and check out clients

• Dispense prescription items per vet instructions

• Schedule appointments

• Phone skills to make calls and assist with scheduling

• Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner

• Use Avimark to add documentation and update client records

• Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and other teammates.

• Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.

Responsibilities / Qualifications: • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures. • Experience with Avimark is preferred. • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. • Possession of organizational skills. • Critical thinking – Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
