Base Salary: $72,048 – $108,073 annually

The Opportunity

MMT is growing its commercial and industrial presence in the grinding and abrasives market — and we’re looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help lead that charge. This is a strategic, high-impact role where you’ll open new doors, build lasting customer relationships, and bring MMT’s precision grinding solutions to manufacturers who depend on quality and performance.

You’ll work closely with our teams in Burbank, Pennsauken, and Ramsey to deliver solutions across the guidewire and abrasives product lines — with the full backing of MMT’s engineering and applications expertise behind you.

What You’ll Do

• Drive new business development across commercial and industrial markets for grinding equipment, guidewires, and abrasives.
• Build and grow a portfolio of accounts by developing trusted relationships with engineers, plant managers, and procurement leaders.
• Evaluate customer processes and recommend MMT solutions that solve real manufacturing challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at customer sites, trade shows, and MMT facilities.
• Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and quoting through negotiation and close.
• Maintain a strong, well-qualified pipeline with accurate forecasting.
• Collaborate with MMT’s applications, engineering, and service teams to ensure customer success.
• Represent MMT at industry events and trade shows to build brand presence in the commercial/industrial segment.
• Travel extensively across the United States to visit customers, prospects, and industry events.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of technical sales experience in precision grinding, abrasives, capital equipment, or related industrial manufacturing.
• Proven ability to develop new accounts and consistently hit revenue targets.
• Technical depth in grinding processes and abrasive products — you can speak the language of your customers.
• Experience in commercial or industrial markets (aerospace, automotive, general industrial, medical components) preferred.
• Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to influence across the buying organization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-directed and comfortable working remotely with frequent travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel 50–70% domestically.

Base Salary: $72,048 – $108,073 annually

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel frequently (approximately 50–70%), including air and ground travel.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or traveling.
• Ability to stand and walk during customer visits, facility tours, and trade shows.
• Occasional lifting of materials or demonstration equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and mobile technology.
