Restaurant General Manager

Lead the team behind a great night out at Johnny J’s Pub & Grille in Medina. From weekend brunch and game-day gatherings to late-night pub favorites, we’re looking for a hands-on Restaurant General Manager who builds a prepared team, delivers consistent food and attentive service, and gives guests a reason to return. This full-time role offers a $60,000–$80,000 annual base salary based on experience, plus additional variable performance bonuses.

What you'll do:

• Lead daily restaurant and bar operations at 925 N. Court Street, coordinating the dining room, bar and kitchen through preparation, service and closing.
• Hire, train, schedule and coach the team; set clear expectations and help people improve through practical feedback.
• Build a welcoming guest experience, resolve concerns promptly and keep food, beverage and service standards consistent.
• Manage inventory, purchasing and food, beverage and labor costs while keeping the restaurant ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness, safe food handling and responsible service practices; keep the team prepared for health and safety requirements.
• Review operating results with ownership, identify practical improvements and follow through on plans that support sales, guest loyalty and profitability.

What you'll need:

• At least 3 years of restaurant management experience, including full-service restaurant or bar operations.
• Experience leading teams and managing staffing, scheduling, inventory and cost control.
• Clear communication, sound judgment and a willingness to work alongside the team during busy shifts.
• A guest-first approach that balances warm hospitality with consistent standards and accountability.
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays at our Medina location.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Schedule: Full-time, on site at 925 N. Court Street, Medina, OH 44256. Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays is required. The pub operates seven days a week with late-night service; exact schedule expectations will be discussed during hiring.
