Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location: New York, NY

Assignment Duration: This is an 8-week contract position, with the possibility for extension.

Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 and Day 3x12-Hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:00 with a nights/mids rotation.

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Your expertise in critical situations will help ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform assessments to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Manage patient treatments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and document all care in the EMR system.
• Triage patients and provide emergency care as needed.
• Participate in mental/behavioral health interventions, as the unit includes a specific CPEP space for evaluation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid New York RN license in hand is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting preferred.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS are mandatory.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic, is required.
