We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to support a mission-focused nonprofit in Michigan. This long-term contract opportunity is suited for a marketing specialist who can manage day-to-day communications work with minimal oversight while maintaining quality, consistency, and speed. The role will contribute to digital outreach, brand-aligned messaging, website updates, and audience engagement efforts in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:
• Create and carry out marketing and communication projects that strengthen awareness of the organization’s programs and community impact.
• Maintain consistent messaging and visual alignment across campaigns, collateral, and digital content by applying established brand standards.
• Update and manage website content to keep information accurate, timely, and aligned with current initiatives.
• Develop internal communication materials that support employee engagement and help share important organizational updates.
• Monitor social media channels and online feedback, responding appropriately to audience interactions and helping foster positive engagement.
• Assist with email campaigns and other digital marketing activities, including content development, coordination, and performance support.
• Contribute to content optimization efforts by applying knowledge of evolving search practices, including SEO and AI-influenced discovery trends.
• Use sound judgment, organization, and attention to detail to manage multiple deadlines and adjust priorities as business needs change.• At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a closely related area.
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute marketing initiatives from planning through completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Hands-on experience with website content management and digital publishing.
• Working knowledge of brand governance and the ability to produce materials within defined standards.
• Proven ability to stay organized, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, careful attention to detail, and a proactive approach to seeking clarity when needed.
• Experience with tools or platforms related to email campaigns, digital marketing, or Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred.
