ICU Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), including weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for critically ill patients in our ICU unit. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Titrate drips as necessary, including but not limited to propofol, cardizem, insulin, and levo.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Support patients and families through education and emotional support.
• Participate in unit-based activities to enhance patient care and safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license valid for the state.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous ICU experience is essential.
• Ability to monitor and interpret telemetry strips.
