Financial Services Technician, Accounts Payable

Financial Services Technician - Accounts Payable Annual Salary: $34,594 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm As a full‑time Financial Services Technician in Accounts Payable, you will support the organization’s mission by processing and reconciling financial transactions. You will enter complex invoices, vouchers, and requisitions into an integrated automated accounting system, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies with vendors and agency staff. Responsibilities include preparing bills for payment, printing and distributing checks, reconciling vendor accounts, maintaining the accounts payable database, setting up new vendors, and assisting with year‑end closing activities. You will also support credentialing and procurement functions by tracking applications and maintaining essential files. Required qualifications include: One year of experience in accounts payable using an automated computer‑based system. Solid understanding of agency financial and administrative policies and procedures. Familiarity with generally accepted bookkeeping and accounting practices.
