RTR is offering a $2,500 Sign on Bonus for New Full Time Hires!Act as part of a team responsible for the support, evaluation, and treatment of adults with developmental disabilities living in a residential setting. Perform all case management and operational duties assigned by the Residential Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:• Provide operational duties assigned by the Residential Manager. This may include: orderingmedication, assisting individuals with banking, monitoring program money and petty cash,grocery shopping, assisting with training new staff.• Provide case management duties as needed. This may include: attending and participating inmeetings regarding individual(s), writing monthly progress notes, Individual Support Plans andassessments and objectives for annual reviews, assisting with the development of behaviorplans or intervention strategies, collecting data, and completing all other paperwork asrequested.• Attend weekly staff meetings, document meeting minutes, meet deadlines on all program related paperwork, and act as a team member in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.• Maintain valid Driver’s License and provide transportation as required by program.• Responsible for overseeing shift documentation provided by staff to ensure professional andaccurate reporting.• Instruct, supervise and evaluate individuals in all areas of community living as outlined in eachsupport plan. Record data on all instructional programs.• Implement all behavior plan interventions as assigned. These behavioral interventions mayinclude physical restraint.• Assist individuals in scheduling and attending medical appointments and appropriatelydocument. May include covering shifts off-site, any hospital stays (i.e., Boston).• Administer medications, as required, in accordance with medication administration procedures.• Assist and support individuals as needed with scheduling and attending social and leisureactivities such as: family gatherings, religious celebrations, community events, and socialgatherings.• Maintain residence and yard in clean, orderly condition as outlined by Program Manager. Thismay include: vacuuming, dusting, cleaning floors, bathrooms, laundry and keeping lawn clear oftrash and debris. Also responsible for keeping steps, walks, paths and ramps clear.• Actively assist and support individuals as needed with personal care responsibilities. This mayinclude: diet, exercise, meal preparation, bathing, shaving, dressing, toileting, etc.• Assist and support individuals as needed with physical direct care. This may include: physicalor mechanical transfer of individuals from wheelchairs to a van, chair, or shower, etc.• Adhere to all established lines of communication, dress in a professional manner, and representa positive and proactive attitude with co-workers, families, and referral agencies.• Responsible for writing reports, including daily shift reports, and other required documentationutilizing professional, and appropriate documentation skills.• Attend all required meetings, and adhere to all program routines and the schedules and needsof individuals under supervision.• Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.• Adhere to agency safety standards.• Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Additional duties may include butare not limited to clearing snow and ice from walkways, vehicles, parking lots, and roads usingequipment like shovels and snow blowers while applying deicing agents to ensure safety• Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.• Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff andBoard beliefsQUALIFICATIONS• High School Diploma or equivalent.• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.• Education related to a field such as: psychology, social work, special education or relatedhuman service work preferred, and at least one year residential experience.• Valid Driver’s License.• Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, includingmedication administration.• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release ofinformation concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC),Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
