Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night shift RN - Med/Surg Tele for a long-term care nursing home setting, requiring prior charge experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Nursing home long-term care (LTC) setting on the MS/Tele unit
• Facility has 23 beds with an average daily census of 21 patients
• Staffing ratio of 1:10 on all shifts
• Night shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Previous employees of the health system may be eligible to return after a 6-month system-wide break
• Responsibilities include comprehensive med/surg and telemetry nursing care, wound care, IV therapy, and management of cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and GI conditions
• Call-off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment; being placed on-call in lieu of a call-off counts as a called-off shift
