Industrial Maintenance Technician

Contract-to-Hire | $25.00–$29.50/hour | 1st Shift

Talent Group is recruiting an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a well-established steel fabrication and manufacturing operation.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a steady first-shift schedule, competitive hourly pay, and plenty of overtime opportunities . We're looking for a hands-on maintenance technician who is comfortable troubleshooting and repairing industrial production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

• Monday–Friday
• 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• $25.00–$29.50/hour , based on experience

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical equipment issues
• Diagnose equipment failures and return machinery to safe operating condition
• Repair and replace motors, bearings, belts, gears, shafts, drives, and other machine components
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Perform basic electrical wiring, plumbing, pipe fitting, and weld repairs
• Install, align, assemble, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Lubricate, adjust, and maintain production machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders
• Document preventive maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment downtime
• Assist with equipment installations and facility maintenance projects
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend improvements
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements

What We're Looking For

• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Basic industrial electrical knowledge
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Familiarity with motors, drives, bearings, belts, pumps, and related production equipment
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, hoists, and other maintenance equipment
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and prioritize repairs in a production environment
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills

Preferred Background

• 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical school or trade training is a plus
• Training or certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, or related areas are a plus

Physical & Work Environment

This position works in an industrial manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods and performing bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and other physical maintenance activities.

Must be able to lift up to approximately 45 pounds and work around production equipment in environments that may be noisy, dusty, hot, or cold.
