Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for:

• Processing, coding, and verifying vendor invoices and expense reports
  
  
• Processing 1099 vendors and maintaining accurate W-9 documentation
  
  
• Assisting with year-end 1099 reporting
  
  
• Reviewing purchase orders and ensuring accurate invoice matching
  
  
• Processing vendor payments in a timely manner
  
  
• Maintaining vendor records and banking information
  
  
• Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies
  
  
• Reconciling vendor statements and outstanding balances
  
  
• Supporting job costing by working closely with Project Managers and Operations
  
  
• Assisting with month-end close, AP aging, and account reconciliations
  
  
• Identifying early payment discount opportunities
  
  
• Supporting audits and accounting documentation requests
  
  
• Assisting with accounting system improvements and process enhancements
  
  
• Performing additional accounting duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required
  
  
• 1099 processing experience is required
  
  
• Experience maintaining W-9 documentation
  
  
• Construction, manufacturing, or job-cost accounting experience preferred
  
  
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
  
  
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  
  
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative attitude
