Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across all age groups using a variety of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet the immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives of patients.
• Deliver focused therapy sessions addressing diverse facets of communication such as fluency, speech clarity, and swallowing capabilities.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary care team-encompassing physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members-to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Engage families through education and support to further personalize growth and continuity beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain thorough documentation that aligns with ethical and professional standards set forth at local and national levels.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and stay abreast of the latest trends within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is essential if ASHA certification is not yet completed.

Certifications

• State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within the first 30 days of employment.
