THE ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a Merchandise Accountant to support operations including month-end close, reporting and analysis, and day-to-day activity. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting background, strong communication skills and be very well organized. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Event Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee month-end close process for festival and e-commerce merchandise Prepare journal entries for merchandise inventory, COGS, and accruals Reconcile inventory, received not invoiced account, and artist royalty payments Review, code, and approve AP invoices for merchandise related expenses Partner with merchandise department on new initiatives and any discrepancies Perform month-end close tasks in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements Streamline and create new processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred 3+ years of accounting experience or related experience, preferably in cost accounting and inventory management Experience with Acumatica preferred Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and reporting software Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines Salary Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD
